Menu Plan ~ 01/25 – 02/07

I haven’t published my menu plans in a while. I probably won’t do it all the time, but I know it can be very helpful to see what other people are eating. Menu planning can save both time and money – both things we never seem to have enough of!

Menu Plan Monday

I make a menu plan every couple of weeks. I don’t assign days to the meals, I simply list them out. I decide what I’m making in the morning (or sometimes the evening before) so I can thaw and prep during the day as needed. I only plan my dinners as breakfast is just a rotation of a few different things and lunch is either leftovers or sandwiches.

Bug is mostly dairy free and I am gluten free, trying to go grain free again. I don’t always list the substitutions that are made to a recipe to make it fit our specific needs. Some of them are obvious (like simply leaving off the cheese or skipping a side dish). Other times I may list a meal but I’m not sure how I’m going to work it into a meal for everyone – or even if it will be for everyone!

I’m trying to balance whole foods, frugal meals, simplicity & variety. I think I’m doing pretty good with this set of recipes. They aren’t all cheap meals, but they aren’t extravagant.
