7th Grade Curriculum Choices

When the conversation of homeschooling comes up, curriculum choices are sure to follow. Fellow homeschoolers are always curious about what their colleagues use, where there might be some common ground and what they might be missing. Non-homeschoolers wonder what we do and how we figure out what to teach.

We are very eclectic in our choices. I allow Bug a lot of input into the curriculum and we discuss what would work best for him based on learning styles and interests. We don’t follow any one path or set of standards. We make sure he’s continuing to move forward in his math and language arts (writing, reading, spelling, etc) skills. All other subjects are child-led / delight-directed in both content & format.
